Annual Garage Sale

Our annual garage sale is an Association wide event. Advertising will be provided at no cost for participants. Open you Garage Doors and sell all those past treasures!! Then you can treat yourself and your family to dinner! Those participating must email their Name, address, and phone number to Annual Garage Sale two weeks before the date of the Garage Sale. You may also call the Garage Sale chairperson.

Annual Holiday Party

Our neighborhood tradition is to hold an annual Christmas party/Cookie Exchange usually on the first or second Friday in December. As is the custom of prior years, a homeowner volunteers to host the party at their house. The host will provide set-ups, ice, plastic glasses/cups, paper plates, napkins and forks for which they will be reimbursed by the association’s treasury. If you are interested in hosting the party, please contact the Christmas Committee Chairperson or any Board Member.

All Buckingham Subdivision adults are invited. The homemade cookie exchange policy is a one-for-one package exchange. The practice has been to package four cookies per bag. Remember the greater the participation, the better the selection for sampling. Please bring an hors d’ouvre to share at the party. Its OK to bring “finger food”. Also, please bring your own Christmas Cheer, set-ups and ice will be provided. For the new neighbors or first time attendees, this is a good time to meet and socialize with the people in our subdivision.

Christmas Luminaries – December 24th

Our subdivision has a holiday tradition of placing luminaries on our sidewalks on Christmas Eve. These luminaries put the final touch on the decorating and lighting of the neighborhood for the holiday season. The bags and candles that are provided are included in the budget each year. There is no additional cost to the homeowners. The expectation is that all families will participate in this event in order to create the desired effect for the neighborhood.

Annual Spring Picnic

Our annual neighborhood get-together with a great family oriented picnic sponsored by the Association. Neighbors attending are asked to bring a salad/vegetable dish (to share) to go along with the meat that will be provided from the association’s treasury (usually hot dogs and hamburgers and sometimes barbeque and/or chicken). Deserts are normally provided by the Board of Directors. Please bring your beverage of choice, chairs, your own paper plates, eating utensils and napkins.

Volunteers are needed to help organize and run some of the events. Anyone interested in helping us put this event together, please contact the picnic committee chairperson or any board member. The bike parade, games and door prizes will highlight the evening as always. We encourage new ideas to make the evening thoroughly enjoyable and informative. Please mark this event on your calendar.

May Nomination of New Board of Directors

Spring is the time of year to solicit new representatives to become members of the Board of Directors. Not all of the current members will chose to run again this next fiscal year so there will be vacancies. We encourage those families who plan to reside here indefinitely to consider having one of their principal household members nominated to become a board member. Anyone interested or wanting to recommend another homeowner please contact any member of the board.
